![]() Well as you can see this is the ka24e wiring harness The two end sections of the harness is what I
need to modify on the sr20det harness. The brown female end and the gray female harness wirings need to be de -pinned and rearanged to match the jdm harness . It will plugged together but the pins are in the wrong place . Click on the pic to see the full harness modifications.
WARNING : Nissan is known to use different color wire between chassis code.
Well here is my harness all done with info that I got from http://www.frsport.com . It was a little confusing at first
but once you go through the info step by step it all makes sense . I will advise any one doing this not to pay . It's not rocket science and we are not trying to go to the moon it is pretty simple.

ECU fault codes
Long Flash - 0.6 seconds on (the first digit)
Short Flash - 0.3 seconds on (the second digit)
Long Gap - 2.1 seconds off (used between codes)
Short Gap - 0.9 seconds off (used between digits)
There are two digits in each code. Count the long flashes, then the short flashes (only count how many times the light is ON) and you'll have a 2 digit code. These codes are covered in the service manual.

SR20DE vs. SR20DET (Remember 'T' is for Turbo) Here are the differences between the DET and the DE: The DET has oil squirter piston coolers
The DET has a bigger oil pump.
The DET has a different front pulley.
The DET has lower compression pistons (8.3:1 vs 9.5:1).
The DET has bigger injectors.
The DET has direct ignition.
The DET has a variable intake cam, runs retarded at idle, advanced mid range and retarded top end.
The DET has mechanical shim in bucket type lifters with a slightly bigger in duration exhaust cam. The GTi-R DET has individual Throttle body injection.
The GTi-R DET has stronger main cap bolts.
The GTi-R DET has beefier rods.
*Just about all parts between the SR20DET and the SR20DE are interchangeable. Comes in very handy!
