Well here above is kaaz 2-way lsd .
Gear Ratios
On the ring gear is a number stamped indcating your gear ratio
Simply divide the numbers 49/12 = 4.083:1.
49/12 = 4.083:1
47/12 = 3.916:1
48/11 = 4.363:1
I found excellent write up on Nico, on how to do the install.
The Nico Write-up is exellent , but there are a few things they failed to mention.
1. Here is how set up dial indicator to check the backlash.
This might sound simple but it very importtant in order to check your back lash
My final measurement was about .007 thousandths.
2. Gear maker should give results as shown above in the picture
Here is a diagram indiacating the best pinion gear to ring gear contact
3. Make sure torque down the bearing caps before taking any backlash measurements
4. In order to measure your backlash correctly you need to secure the pinion gear in the vise to keep it from moving .
5. Now that pinion gear is secured, place one of the axel shaft in the diiferential and turn the shaft slowy to measure the backlash
